Alec Baldwin will be charged with involuntary manslaughter over the death on Rust set 

Alec Baldwin, the well-known actor and comedian, has recently been charged with involuntary manslaughter over the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his upcoming film, “Rust.” The incident occurred in October 2021 while Baldwin and the crew were preparing to film a scene in the church building of the Bonanza Creek Ranch near Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA.

According to reports, Baldwin fired the shot that killed Hutchins while rehearsing a scene. The armorer on the set, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, had loaded the weapon. Both Baldwin and Reed will be facing charges of involuntary manslaughter in connection with Hutchins’ death.

The news of Baldwin’s involvement in the tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, with many expressing their condolences to Hutchins’ family and friends. Halyna Hutchins’ husband Matt Hutchins on the other hand demands justice for his late wife. He previously filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the makers of Rust and Alec Baldwin. 

In an interview, he specified that watching Alec’s interview describing the unfortunate death of Halyna Hutchins and not taking any responsibility for it, filled him with anger. He mentions Alec Baldwin shifting responsibilities on others while also quoting 

“I just feel like, are we really supposed to feel bad about you Mr. Baldwin?”

Baldwin has had a long and successful career in the entertainment industry, known for his roles in movies such as “The Departed,” “The Cooler,” and “It’s Complicated.” He has also had a successful career as a comedian and has appeared in several comedy sketch shows and talk shows.
